Velocity Air Boxes for the Ferrari 360 Modena are available
now! These polished stainless steel air boxes are a simple
bolt on modification that improve performance and style. They
also include a RED Silicone Hose Coupler kit and a set/pair of new
K&N hi-flow intake filters.

These Velocity Air Boxes achieve greater performance through more
volume, as well as a velocity inlet. Using a smooth
transition , we have taken the intake inlet dimensions and smoothly
transitioned to an air box inlet 85% larger than factory.
This design coupled with the overall 13% volume increase and
the thermal benefits of stainless vs. aluminum has netted our
Velocity Air Boxes 5-9 hp gains.
We complete our package by including absolutely everything needed for a
quality install. A complete Silicone hose coupler kit (4)
with stainless t-bolt clamps (8) is generally sold separate
for $350 but is included free of charge with our kit. Also
included is a set/pair of lifetime warranty K&N high flow air
filters , another $100 value.
Stainless Steel is one of the most versatile and durable materials
available. OEM manufacturers do not use stainless due to
extremely high manufacturing costs, including the inability to cast
stainless economically. However, stainless steel
has a THERMAL
CONDUCTIVITY 10X LOWER THAN ALUMINUM. For
practical purposes, this means that engine heat radiating onto the
intake manifold will be transfered directly into the intake air stream 10X
more efficiently with the factory
aluminum manifold vs. our Velocity stainless manifold. Lower
intake temps, means more power due to a denser air charge.
This will be amplified as the car is pushed for any extended
period of time due to engine heat soak. Refer to the
illustration below.
